Literacy: Literacy homework goes out on Mondays and is due on Fridays. I have changed this expectation as many people said they did not have enough time due to outside school activities. Literacy homework may be completed whenever is convenient for your family and will be graded by myself over weekends. It will be returned on Mondays. If homework is not turned in on Fridays there will be a logical consequence decided by each litearcy block. If you have any questions, let me know! Click here for Reading Homework
There are 3 main parts to literacy homework:
Part 1 is the reading log where students record what they read, how long they read for and how many pages they read. This section needs to be signed by YOU the grown up at home.
Part 2 is reading a grade level text and answering questions. This section of homework reinforces work that is done in class in addition to exposing students to grade level texts regularly.
Part 3 is responding to a writing prompt. Students may choose to write directly on the homework OR type their response.

Math: Each night there is a regular problem and one challenge problem. The challenge problem is optional. Please do all of your homework in the separate math homework notebook. Please work in pencil and always put your name and date on everything you do. If math homework takes longer than 20 minutes, please sign the assignment and stop! Click here for math homework.
