STUDENT MENTOR AND INTERN APPRECIATION DAY
DGS is incredibly lucky to have 18 amazing Student Mentors and Stanley British Interns who work hard for our students everyday. ECE, Kinder and 1st, have a Student Mentor or intern in each classroom. Our 3rd and 5th grade classes share an intern for the whole grade. In addition we have six student mentors who support our autism programs and four student mentors who support students who receive supports in English language learning, special education, and reading intervention. This group of people exemplify dedication to student growth and performance and we want you to help us in thanking them on Wednesday, April 5th. We've set aside this day as an official day to say thank you for all of their wonderful work with our students. If your child has a Student Mentor or SBI in his or her class, please reach out to say thank you or work with your teacher to show your appreciation. It goes a long way!
PARCC TESTING AT DGS 3RD-8TH GRADE
Please help your students do their best! Three steps can help ensure students are mentally and physically prepared for testing: A good night sleep, a healthy breakfast and on-time arrival to school. Thank You for your support during this time. Please ensure to let the office know if you have planned absences that cannot be changed. Remember to bring your headphones!
